UD Almería eager to remain as second best away team
The Rojiblancos look to keep the second automatic promotion spot that leads to the top flight after facing the challenge at the Abanca Riazor Stadium. The squad trains in the Stadium
The UD Almería squad members are eager to remain as second best team of LaLiga Hypermotion in the match that will see them taking on Deportivo de La Coruña on Sunday at the Abanca Riazor Stadium. They also want to keep the second automatic promotion spot to the top flight behind current pacesetters Racing de Santander.
If the Rojiblancos are among the best at home, Dépor are the third worst home team, so UD Almería would start as favourites in this game which, however, will be quite a challenge.
On the one hand, the Galician hosts have just defeated SD Eibar, which is really significant as they are the third best away team and on the other hand, the Indálicos have not yet found their fine form in the second half of the season. They started very well by winning in Córdoba, but since then they have achieved two draws at home (SD Huesca and Real Oviedo) and suffered their first defeat in 14 fixtures in Albacete.
With the firm aim of being able to get back to winning ways in a difficult sport venue like the Abanca Riazor, which is one of those with the largest crowd in the league, UD Almería are working, having reached the midpoint of their preparation. The squad is already training behind closed doors at the Stadium, where they will meet again this Friday and Saturday before travelling by charter flight to La Coruña.
