The Rojiblancos are targeting a 3rd consecutive win for the first time this season, but know they face a tough test against RC Celta Fortuna. Dzódic and Rodrigo Ely miss training
UD Almería are setting their sights on another milestone in the 2026/27 campaign. After securing their first away win of the season against Córdoba CF last weekend, the Rojiblancos are now looking to make it 3 victories on the bounce for the first time. Standing in their way is RC Celta Fortuna, who have already shown just how difficult they can be to beat on the road.
UD Almería head coach Xavier García Pimienta and his coaching staff stepped up the intensity during Wednesday’s session, using a range of drills designed to keep the squad fully focused on the challenge ahead. The message was clear: last weekend’s victory is already behind them, with all attention now firmly on Sunday.
The UD Almería players responded with plenty of intensity and concentration at the Anexo base, as they continue to build momentum and look to establish a strong run of form.
RC Celta Fortuna will provide a stern test. The Galicia-based side have won both of their away games so far this season, doing so in convincing fashion with a 2-0 victory. They will also arrive at the UD Almería Stadium looking to respond after suffering a heavy defeat in their most recent outing.
There were two notable absences from Wednesday’s training session. Rodrigo Ely was unavailable following the medical report issued by the Club, while Dzódic worked indoors after picking up a knock during Tuesday afternoon’s session.
The Serbian defender has suffered only a minor contusion and, at this stage, the injury is not considered serious.
Nico Tomasević, a youth-team player who also features for UD Almería 'B', joined the first-team squad for the session.
