UD Almería eager to change the pace at Km 8 of their 'marathon'
The Rojiblancos host current league co-leaders Burgos CF at 6:30pm this Saturday with the clear objective of bouncing back and achieving the first win of the season at home to escape the drop zone. Robertone and Marc Pubill will miss out
Another LaLiga Hypermotion Matchday and another opportunity to bounce back and try to find the turning point, which is none other than scoring one more goal than the rivals. That's all. It's the eighth fixture of the campaign and the fourth at home, where they have not won yet. Two draws and a heavy defeat are the results obtained on home turf. A draw and a victory in the first two games, back in the month of August were achieved away from home. A poor run of results that has led the team to relegation to the Primera RFEF. But there is a long way to go; there is time.
Rubi recently said that Segunda is like a marathon. 42 Matchdays and 42 kilometres. At this point in the race, UD Almería are not ruled out fighting to finish among the best, nor are those who now lead the race guaranteed the podium. We enter Km 8 (Matchday 8) and it is time to make a change of pace to go upwards, climbing positions, and not being at the bottom of the table so soon.
The UD Almería head coach, as he has stated in the pre-match presser, continues to believe in fighting for promotion, he talks about a losing streak and the problem has been detected. It is the defensive system. Now they need to find out how to solve it and against Burgos CF is the first opportunity to check it.
The Rojiblancos had one last training session, behind closed doors, at the UD Almería Stadium and this Saturday morning they will gather and from 6:30pm, they will face a new challenge. Lucas Robertone, operated on for a shoulder dislocation and Marc Pubill, recovering from a LCL sprain in his left knee, will miss out.
