UD Almería are capable of coupon-busting this Friday

It is time for Marchday 9. UD Almería are preparing to play the next LaLiga EA Sports tough-looking fixture against Athletic Club de Bilbao at 9pm local time this Friday at the San Mamés Stadium. It is expected to be a match tremendously complicated for them, but in which the Rojiblancos will go all out to win by putting in a spirited display full of defensive discipline and counter-attacking threat. UD Almería are now ready to shock everyone and pull off their first victory of the campaign once and for all. 

The venue is not exactly the most suitable for it, yet at the same time, it is the most fascinating since the bookies will be banking on as home win. UD Almería are the only team that have not yet got a W in Primera Division, a fact that has pushed them right to the bottom of the table. They have been shipping goals so they are also the side that has conceded the most goals in the competition together with Granada CF so far (21). They are coming off drawing 3-3 with the Granadinistas after letting a 3-0 first-half impressive lead away. In the previous outing, the Indálicos were beaten in Seville. On top of that, key players are getting injured and missing out unfortunately...when it rains it pours...

On the other hand, although hosts Athletic Club de Bilbao lost the derby to Real Sociedad and shared the spoils with Getafe CF in their last performance on home soil. Before, Los Leones from the Basque Country were able to net four goals past Real Betis and three against Cádiz CF. They sit 9th in the standings, a spot that will send them to the European competition. Athletic Club are one of those who have registered the least goals against. Although they did not record good results on the last two Matchdays, their next performance will give cause for satisfaction...that it is their objective at least in a not easy venue known as 'The Cathedral' to emerge victorious.

Marchday 9 kicks off with with the game at the San Mamés Stadium. It seems one of the easiest results to predict when filling in a pools coupon, but the Rojiblancos are capable of coupon-busting. As interim coach Alberto Lasarte highlighted in the pre-Bilbao press conference, it is essential to forget about the past and focus squarely on the next battle. By following the game plan, there will be chances of winning. 

The players had one last training session last Thursday and at 10am this Friday, the UD Almería travelling squad will be catching a charter flight to Bilbao.
