UD Almería have fate in their own hands
The Rojiblancos are back to training to start thinking about the visit of Racing Santander. Given the long week and the final stretch of the season, some players did tailored training outside the group
UD Almería are back to training after having two days off following two games in a short period of time against CD Eldense and Cádiz CF and now have 9 days before hosting Racing Santander on direct rivals next Sunday in the race for promotion to Primera.
It's a long week for the Indálicos and considering the season is in the final stretch of LaLiga Hypermotion preparing for the matches tactically is just as important as getting the players match-fit again. Therefore, in this first practice, some members of the squad have been doing tailored training outside the group such as Fernando, Gonzalo Melero, Nico Melamed, and Luis Suárez.
The new face in the training session was the presence of UD Almería 'B' goalkeeper Jesús López, who trained with Maximiano and Bruno Iribarne under the guidance of goalkeeping coach Diego Tuero. The session focused on beating Racing Santander with the goal of trying to secure the 3 points on Sunday.
UD Almería, who remain in the play-off places, want to take advantage of the fact that they have their fate in their own hands to fight for promotion. The team are awaiting the RFEF Competition Committee's sanctions following the sending-offs in Cádiz of Kaiky, Bruno Langa, Nico Melamed and head coach Rubi. None of them will be available on Sunday.
Regarding injuries, the only absence is Baba, who continues his road to full recovery. Chumi was given the all-clear last week and is therefore available again. In fact, he was included in the Cádiz squad list, although he didn't play.
