UD Almería set for final home game of 2025
The Rojiblancos aim to sign off the year with a victory as in-form travellers Burgos CF arrive on the South Coast
UD Almería are gearing up for their last home fixture of 2025, taking place this Sunday at 6:30pm (Spanish time). Determined to bid farewell to the year with a win in front of their supporters, the Rojiblancos face a demanding challenge against Burgos CF, a side whose away performances have outshone their home form and who currently occupy 6th place in the promotion play-off positions.
The squad returned to work at the training ground this week following the pitch’s recent reseeding. They will continue preparations on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, wrapping up their final sessions at the UD Almería Stadium.
After being held to a draw by SD Huesca in their previous home outing, UD Almería are eager to close out the year on a strong note and remain firmly in the upper reaches of the table.
Burgos CF arrive in search of a response after suffering 3 back-to-back defeats, despite boasting one of the league’s most formidable away records. Luis Miguel Ramis’s side have collected 4 impressive road victories against Sporting Gijón (2–3), Cádiz CF (1–3), CD Leganés (1–2) and CD Mirandés (0–2), plus a valuable draw in La Coruña. Their away losses have been narrow, each by a single goal (FC Andorra, SD Huesca and AD Ceuta FC).
Sunday’s encounter at the UD Almería Stadium promises to be a stern test for the Indálicos, who will be facing one of the league’s most compact, efficient and defensively resilient sides.
