UD Almería train hard to close in on promotion
The Rojiblancos are back to training with their minds set on the first leg of the play-offs that will be played this Saturday at 9pm (Spanish Time)
The UD Almería first team are back to training after being off on Tuesday as they begin preparations ahead of the play-offs tie against Real Oviedo at UD Almería Stadium on Saturday at 9pm (Spanish Time. It will be the first leg of the semi-finals of the promotion play-offs to the first division.
Two notable absences from the practice held behind closed doors at the Stadium were striker and LaLiga Hypermotion top scorer Luis Suárez, called up at the last minute by the Colombian national team, while full-back Marc Pubill, who is away on international duty with Spain U21s. Neither player will be able to play on Saturday in a match of such high importance, as the promotion play-offs will incongruously coincide with official matches for national teams, which have priority over clubs when it comes to players.
UD Almería will continue their preparations this Thursday and Friday with training sessions, which will also take place behind closed doors at the UD Almería Stadium.
