UD Almería gear up for El Alcoraz test
The Rojiblancos are on high alert against a relegation-threatened SD Huesca side really strong on home turf
Ahead of their second consecutive away fixture and another trip to Aragón, UD Almería are stepping up preparations with focus, hard work and a clear sense of caution against deceptive opponents. Despite sitting in the relegation zone, SD Huesca have collected the vast majority of their points at El Alcoraz, the venue the Rojiblancos will visit determined to improve their away form.
The Oscense side’s home record is mid-table standard; from 11th place down to bottom, only one team, Real Sociedad 'B', boast better numbers than SD Huesca’s 23 points. Out of 15 home matches, they have suffered defeat on just 4 occasions. Combined with a recent managerial change following Oltra’s arrival, the upcoming fixture promises to be far more demanding than the overall standings might suggest.
For that reason, UD Almería are meticulously preparing for Matchday 31 this Wednesday at the UDA Stadium, with the coaching staff looking to spark an improvement on the road after the defeat to Real Zaragoza. Preparations will continue until Friday, when the team travel with a clear objective: secure all 3 points, virtually reclaim an automatic promotion spot and return from Huesca with renewed confidence.
