UD Almería put attacking strength to the test against resilient Cádiz CF
The Rojiblancos face the second-best defensive record in LaLiga Hypermotion with a pivotal match on Sunday at the UD Almería Stadium
UD Almería have resumed preparations for Sunday's pivotal match against Cádiz CF, scheduled for 4:15pm at the UD Almería Stadium (Matchday 14). After a day off on Tuesday, the Rojiblancos are now focused on breaking down one of the toughest defences in the league, as they aim to extend their impressive unbeaten streak.
Cádiz CF, known for their defensive solidity, boast the second-best defensive record in LaLiga Hypermotion, having conceded just 9 goals in 13 matches. They have kept 8 clean sheets, including 3 consecutive goalless draws in recent games. With this in mind, UD Almería will need to be clinical in front of goal, as they face a significant challenge from the Submarino Amarillo's defence. The Rojiblancos, who sit as the third-highest scoring team in the division, will look to exploit their attacking potential in what promises to be a tactical test.
Cádiz CF's solid defence is complemented by their struggles in attack. They have the second-lowest goal-scoring record in the competition, yet have still managed to find the back of the net when it counts, sitting in 6th place, just one point behind UD Almería. The Indálicos do have a game in hand, however, due to the postponement of their match against AD Ceuta FC last Sunday.
In terms of squad news, UD Almería's training session saw Portuguese midfielder André Horta join the group, while Léo Baptistão and Álex Muñoz continue with individual recovery plans. Chumi, who is still recovering from injury, remains sidelined for the match.
Additionally, UD Almería 'B' youngster Hou trained alongside the first team, filling in for several absentees, including Bruno, Dzôdić, Perović and Soko, who are all away on international duty.
With both Andalusian teams bringing different strengths to the table, Sunday's encounter promises to be a key battle for both sides' aspirations in LaLiga Hypermotion.
