UD Almería never gives up

The Rojiblancos will have to head to Oviedo to win the play-offs second leg by 2 goals, even with key absences. Léo Baptistão was injured and had to be substituted after 59 minutes

UD Almería will have to go the extra mile in Oviedo if they want to stay alive in the race for promotion to the Primera division. After the 2-1 home defeat in the first leg of the play-off semi-finals, next Wednesday, in the second leg, they will have no choice but to win by 2 goals to knock out their rivals and thus qualify for the promotion final

Head coach Rubi said this in the press conference after this Saturday's game: 'It'll be key to get ahead to at least force extra time at the Carlos Tartiere stadium. And with that firm purpose, they will travel to Asturias.

This Sunday, the squad will have training, which will be more of an active recovery, while on Monday and Tuesday, they will work in afternoon sessions at the UD Almería Stadium. All football practices will be delivered behind closed doors.

UD Almería will continue to miss some key players including Léo Baptistão, who was injured in the first leg. The Brazilian had to be substituted in the 59th minute and we'll have to wait and see the extent of his injury, although the timeframe with the second leg is short, very short.

The race for promotion has become much more complicated, but as the Club's slogan says, UD Almería never give up.
