UD Almería walk on new winter grass at Power Horse Stadium
The Rojiblancos are training on the same pitch where they will play hosts to rivals UD Las Palmas. This Friday, last football practice at the training base
Almost a month later, UD Almería have walked on the new winter grass at the Power Horse Stadium pitch in order to continue with their preparation for Saturday's match against UD Las Palmas (KO 2pm Spain Time/ Matchday 11).
The football practice has served for the players to roll and kick the ball on the new winter grass, which has been replanted early October. The Indálicos have not played on home soil for a month due to the international break and two consecutive away matches against Athletic Club de Bilbao and Girona FC.
The Rojiblancos will be going all out again in the recently reseeded turf this Saturday, 28th October to register the first victory of the 2023/24 season once and for all.
It will not be easy at all due to the rivals' potential. UD Las Palmas are a team with players who have some fancy footwork, although it seems it is hard for them to find the back of the net (6) while the islanders are the third side in LaLiga who concede the fewest goals (9) behind Real Madrid CF (7) and Atlético de Madrid (8), stats that are really significant.
UD Almería head coach Gaizka Garitano has worked on tactical aspects, recreation of different match situations and rounded off the day with shots on goal.
UD Almería 'B' youngsters Aarón and Marcos Peña have joined the first team players in training one more day. The last training session will be conducted this Friday before facing this vital game on Saturday.
