Road to top flight nears final chapter

UD Almería await their opponents in the play-off final. Málaga CF and UD Las Palmas meet at La Rosaleda Stadium on Wednesday in the second leg of their semi-final, with the Andalusian side holding a 1-0 advantage from the first leg

UD Almería now await their opponents in the promotion play-off final, which will be played on 14 and 20 June. As was the case in the semi-final against CD Castellón, the Rojiblancos will once again have home advantage in the tie. That means the first leg will be played away from home, with the decisive second leg taking place at the UD Almería Stadium.

Málaga CF or UD Las Palmas will stand between UD Almería and a return to the top flight of Spanish football. The two sides face each other on Wednesday at 9pm Spanish Time at La Rosaleda Stadium in the second leg of their semi-final.

At present, Málaga CF hold the upper hand after securing a 1-0 victory at the ll Gran Canaria stadium in the first leg. However, there are still 90 minutes remaining to determine who will join the Rojiblancos in the big final.

During the regular LaLiga Hypermotion season, UD Almería defeated UD Las Palmas away from home but lost to the Canary Islanders at the UD Almería Stadium. As for Málaga CF, the Rojiblancos suffered defeat at La Rosaleda stadium before claiming victory on home soil.
