UD Almería activate Luis Suárez's option-to-buy clause

The Club has reached a mutual agreement with the Colombian striker's former team Olympique de Marseille to sign him for the next 6 seasons

UD Almería have activated the option-to-buy clause in order to sign Luis Suárez on a permanent deal. The former Olympique de Marseille striker joined UD Almeria in the last winter market. Both clubs have reached the specific agreement so the Colombian now becomes officially a Rojiblanco.

Luis Suárez, 25 years old, signs for the next 6 seasons until June 2029. The option-to-buy clause could be activated as long as UD Almería secured top-flight status. The Rojiblancos sealed survival through the three-all draw with RCD Espanyol de Barcelona at the RCDE Stadium on the last LaLiga Santander Matchday (2nd June).

After the necessary paperwork, the deal has been closed. The Santa Marta native striker arrived at UD Almería in the past winter transfer window of the previous 2022/23 campaign. He played a total of 21 league fixtures netting four goals and producing five assists.
