UD Almería trigger André Horta’s purchase option

The Club has reached an agreement with SC Braga to sign the Portuguese midfielder on a permanent deal. He has signed a 3-year contract and becomes the 7th signing ahead of the 2026/27 season

UD Almería have exercised the purchase option included in André Horta’s loan agreement from last season, reaching an agreement with SC Braga to complete the permanent transfer of the Portuguese midfielder.

Horta has signed a 3-year contract, keeping him at the Club until June 2029, and becomes another addition to the squad for the 2026/27 campaign. He is UD Almería’s 7th signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of winger Brian Cipenga, striker Miguel de la Fuente, centre-back Jorge Pulido, midfielder Quim Junyent, forward Léo Baptistão and winger Álex Sola.

The 29-year-old spent last season on loan at UD Almería, making 20 appearances. Although injuries prevented him from enjoying the continuity he had hoped for, the Club has complete confidence in his quality and experience.

Horta boasts an extensive football career across Portuguese, Greek and American football. Among his achievements are winning the UEFA Europa League and competing in the UEFA Champions League, underlining the pedigree and experience he brings to the Rijiblancos' squad.
