UD Almería Women to kick off league on Sunday and Queen's Cup on Wednesday

UD Almería Women are going to have a hectic start to the season as they will have to kick off the league this weekend, and their Copa del Reina [Queen's Cup] journey against well-known rivals FF La Solana on Wednesday, a tournament in which they will participate for the first time ever.

The two Tercera RFEF league and Cup games will be played at home consecutively. The first test comes at midday this Sunday against Real Betis 'B' Women, whereas the Cup tie takes place at 8pm local time next Wednesday, 13th September. Both matches will be held at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium.

The girls from UD Almería, who are looking to return to the Segunda RFEF división, begin their league run against well-known rivals Real Betis 'B' Women, with whom they competed last season and will try to start the campaign on the right foot.

Three days later, on Wednesday, they will host FF La Solana, an outfit from the Spanish region of Castilla La Mancha, for a single-legged tie. Last season, the La Mancha girls put in a brave fight for survival against the Indálicas that lasted until the last Matchday. Unfortunately, the Rojiblancas were the ones who got relegated while FF La Solana stayed up in the Segunda RFEF. Now, they will be locking horns again.
