UD Almería start training week on the right foot
Robertone, Leo Baptistao and Marc Pubill rejoin the training sessions. Koné is back with his team-mates and works out in the gym. The Rojiblancos are now preparing the visit of Sporting de Gijón
The UD Almería players have started the training week, after the rest day on Monday, on the right foot. Lucas Robertone, Leo Baptistao and Marc Pubill, who were ruled out in Tenerife, have rejoined group training, although in the case of the full-back he left a little earlier than his team-mates as an injury prevention.
Head coach Rubi announced in the pre-Tenerife press conference that the three footballers could make it to next Saturday's home opener against Sporting de Gijón, although they remain a doubt.
This is as good news as the presence of Koné again with the squad. The Malian forward felt unwell last Wednesday in training and had to be taken to the Torrecárdenas Hospital where he was under observation and undergoing different medical tests. This Tuesday morning, he has met again with the team members and attended the talk that Rubi gave before training at the Anexo pitch and after he went to the gym to work out.
UD Almería are now thinking about LaLiga Hypermotion Matchday 3 as the home opener takes place on Saturday, 31st August at 9:30pm (Spanish Time) hosting Sporting de Gijón. The Rojiblancos are now fully focused on this encounter. The players have worked on tactics and recreation of match situations, in addition to other aspects of the game. There are three more training sessions ahead to get match-ready before playing in front of the fans at the UD Almería Stadium.
