The Club has donated a state-of-the-art drone to support security operations both on Matchdays and at other public events
UD Almería have strengthened their close relationship with the Spanish National Police by donating a state-of-the-art drone that will support security operations both at the UD Almería Stadium and across a wide range of public events.
The presentation took place at the UD Almería Stadium and was attended by the Club's CEO Mohamed El Assy; Operations Director Mostafa Yilmaz; Provincial Chief Commissioner Antonio María Delgado de los Reyes; Chief Inspector of the Provincial Public Safety Brigade, Roberto Carlos Muros Molina and Air Support Officer Miguel Ángel Cazorla Rubira.
Welcoming the police representatives, El Assy highlighted the strong partnership between the two institutions. 'This donation reflects the excellent relationship we have with the Spanish National Police, and we hope it will help them achieve the security objectives for which it will be used,' he said.
The drone features cutting-edge technology, including infrared imaging sensors, a laser rangefinder and advanced night-vision capabilities, allowing officers to deploy it within minutes and operate effectively in all lighting conditions.
During the event, Air Support Officer Miguel Ángel Cazorla Rubira underlined the aircraft's versatility, explaining that it provides rapid deployment and high-performance aerial surveillance for a wide variety of operations.
The initiative is another example of the close cooperation between UD Almería and the Spanish National Police. Provincial Chief Commissioner Antonio María Delgado de los Reyes thanked the Club for their support and praised the gesture. 'It's a thoughtful and meaningful gesture that goes far beyond its material value. Initiatives like this give us even greater motivation in carrying out our work,' he stressed.
The idea for the donation arose during one of the regular coordination meetings between the Club and the Spanish National Police, when Operations Director Mostafa Yilmaz asked police officials what resources would best strengthen their operational capabilities.
The drone will reinforce surveillance around the Stadium, support the monitoring of supporters on Matchdays and be deployed at other sporting events and public safety operations whenever required.
Following the official presentation, those in attendance watched a live demonstration showcasing the drone's advanced capabilities outside the Stadium.
