UD Almería celebrate Xmas lunch at Cabo de Gata Beach Hotel

All the Club teams, employees, board of directors, former advisors and collaborators gather in an emotional event in which Almería Mayoress María del Mar Vázquez was present

UD Almería celebrated their traditional Christmas lunch that was held at the Cabo de Gata Beach hotel located in El Toyo, where nearly 500 Rojiblancos gathered. 
 
The Club brought together in this emotional event all those who make up the Club because all the men's and women's teams, employees from the different departments, collaborators, directors, former councillors and the Mayoress of the city, María del Mar Vázquez, were present. She showed her total commitment to UD Almería. 
 
UDA Managing Director Mohamed El Assy, general manager and CEO. Mostafa Yilmaz, director of operations and organisation and Councillor Ibrahim Ewis acted as hosts. Among the attendees, former directors such as Manolo García, Luis Guillén and Onofre Díaz; one of the Club founders, Guillermo Blanes, who maintains a close relationship with the current UDA managers and leaders with the likes of José Juan Bonillo and Mariano Blanco
 
The younger ones enjoyed having the first team players by their side and did not stop chatting to them, taking photos and asking for autographs. There were also raffles for UD Almería shirts signed by the first team members, hotel nights at Cabo de Gata Beach vouchers, tickets to see UD Almería matches in the VIP boxes... María del Mar Vázquez highlighted that the entire city follows the Club, that the people from Almería feel very proud to have a team in professional football and she hoped that the Indálicos return to the Primera division. She wished them luck and said that all of Almería were going to push to support them. 
 
During the presentations, head coach Rubi and goalkeeper and captain Fernando also took the microphone wishing everyone present a Merry Christmas and a happy 2025, in addition to stating that they were going to fight to the death to be back in the big time. 
 
Last but not least, UD Almería Managing Director spoke about how difficult and hard 2024 was being... not only in the competition but also the myriad of injuries that are taking its toll on the squad, including latest injured players Baba and Gui Guedes. Mohamed El Assy stressed that with hard work and togetherness the team can move forward, as it is happening. Finally, he wished everyone a happy yuletide in the company of their families and wished everyone health and success in 2025.
