UD Almería raise Christmas toast to bright 2026

Festive lunch unites more than 500 members of the Rojiblanco family in a warm year-end celebration

UD Almería marked the festive season with their traditional Christmas lunch, a gathering that showcased the Club’s unity and continued growth. More than 500 members of the Rojiblanco family filled the La Jábega Restaurant, bringing together every corner of the organisation: men’s and women’s teams, coaches, staff, collaborators, directors and long-standing figures such as Guillermo Blanes, one of the Club’s founders.

Hosting duties were led by Managing Director Mohamed El Assy and operations director Mostafa Yilmaz, joined by José Juan Bonillo, LaLiga representative and board secretary Mariano Blanco. President and owner Mohamed Al Khereiji also made his presence felt, appearing on a large screen from Saudi Arabia to send his Christmas greetings and share his ambition for a successful and progressive 2026. His message reflected pride in leading the project and a commitment to driving the Club forward.

As the festive meal drew to a close, El Assy, head coach Rubi and captain Fernando Martínez took the stage to wish the entire UD Almería family a Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year, on and off the pitch.

Raffles of match tickets and UD Almería jerseys signed by the first-team squad delighted attendees, but the highlight of the afternoon belonged to the youngest fans, who beamed as they met their heroes, collected autographs and snapped photos, an early Christmas gift they will not soon forget.
