UD Almería 'B' bolster defence with signing of centre-back Miguel Operé
UD Almería’s Academy continue strengthening its ranks ahead of the 2025/26 season with Miguel Operé becoming the latest addition to the 'B' team. The centre-back, who came through the youth systems of Villarreal CF and Real Zaragoza, brings top-tier potential and valuable experience to Alberto Lasarte’s squad
UD Almería Academy continue to sign players to shape up the respective youth teams. UD Almería 'B' will count on Miguel Operé, a top-flight centre-back who has played in important youth ranks such as Real Zaragoza and Villarreal CF. But he is not the only addition to the second team. Left-back Longo and centre-back Antonio Morales will also join Alberto Lasarte's group.
Standing at 1.92m, Operé is known for his aerial strength, physical presence and agility. He most recently featured for Lleida CF in the fourth-tier Segunda RFEF — the same division where UD Almería 'B' will compete this season. During his time at Real Zaragoza, he was regularly called up to the first team, underlining his promising profile.
Operé isn't the only new face joining Lasarte’s youth side. Left-back Longo and fellow centre-back Antonio Morales have also been added to the squad, which begins pre-season preparations next week.
With these reinforcements, UD Almería’s Academy continue shaping a competitive squad as part of its ambitious 2025/26 development project.
