UD Almería 'B' face a tough away test this Sunday as they travel to take on CF Motril on Matchday 10. They will visit the Escribano Castilla stadium for an important clash between two sides firmly in the promotion play-off places, with kick-off scheduled for 5pm.

UD Almería 'B' looking to extend impressive unbeaten run

Pablo Nozal's side head into the fixture sitting 3rd in the table with 18 points from their opening 9 matches. The 'B' team have recorded 5 wins, 3 draws and just 1 defeat so far and are now unbeaten in their last 6 league games.

However, the lads have drawn their last 2 home matches, sharing the spoils with Atlético Marbella (2-2) before being held to a goalless draw by Churriana de la Vega (0-0).

The latest stalemate prevented the youthful Rojiblancos from closing the gap on the teams above them, although they remain firmly in the play-off places.

CF Motril also enjoying a strong start to the season

Standing in their way is CF Motril, who have also made an impressive start to the campaign. The Granada-based outfit sit 5th with 16 points, just 2 behind UD Almería 'B', having picked up 4 wins, 4 draws and only 1 defeat from their nine fixtures.

The rivals head into Sunday's encounter after drawing 1-1 away to Recreativo Granada in their previous outing. Like UD Almería 'B', they remain firmly in the mix towards the top of the table.

Key clash in the race for promotion play-offs

With just 2 points separating the sides, Sunday's meeting carries significant importance for both teams as they look to strengthen their position in the promotion play-off race.

UD Almería 'B' will be aiming to return to winning ways and maintain their impressive run of form, particularly on the road, before turning their attention to another major test.

Next weekend, Nozal's side will be back at the Anexo pitch to face current league leaders UD Melilla in what promises to be another demanding fixture.
