UD Almeria turn off calculator and radio

The Rojiblancos will remain in the Primera Division by winning or drawing, and even losing at the RCDE Stadium as long Celta de Vigo or Real Valladolid CF are defeated this Sunday

UD Almería will not need turn on the calculator or the radio on Sunday, but focus squarely on their game, when the last Matchday will be held with 6 top-tier teams, including the Rojiblancos, making one last effort to secure LaLiga Santander status. Elche CF and RCD Espanyol de Barcelona have officially been relegated from the Primera División, however there is still a third bottom team to go down to Segunda División.

Only two points separate the 6 clubs immersed in the relegation tussle so  countless predictions can be made. All those involved depend on themselves and not on other team's results; so the winners will save the campaign, yet there will be draws and defeats, and three, four and even five sides points could end up level on points because the combinations can be many.

It will surely be a night of radios on and numbers, lots of numbers, but in the case of UD Almería, they will turn off the calculator and the radio. In fact, the Rojiblancos are one of the teams with better chances to make it... later on the pitch it could be different story.

UD Almería, as head coach Rubi has already announced in the post-Valladolid press conference, will save the campaign by either beating or sharing the spoils with already-relegated RCD Espanyol de Barcelona. And even losing as long as Pucela or Celta de Vigo lose as well. Real Valladolid CF, with whom they cannot finish level on points since the Blanquivioletas have better head-to-head goal difference, have earned 39 points, while both UD Almeria and Celta de Vigo have racked up 40 points. The Indálicos would beat the Celtistas on the head-to-head goal difference.

UD Almería, in the case of meeting their objective, will have sealed league safety due to their strength on home turf, in the Power Horse Stadium. Although they are the outfit with the worst results away from home, the few points bagged on the road have been taken away from direct rivals in the relegation scrap. In other words, UD Almería beat all their fellow strugglers on head-to-head goal difference, except for Cádiz CF, with whom they are tied, and Real Valladolid CF, who have better head-to-head goal difference than the Indálicos.
