UD Almería face new challenge

After returning to winning ways, the team aims to secure an away victory

After regaining their winning form on the last Matchday, the UD Almería squad now shift focus to securing another victory on the road, a feat they have not achieved since their 2-0 win in Andorra back in December. The Rojiblancos ave been training under challenging conditions, with strong winds making the sessions tougher than usual.

On Thursday, the team worked at the Stadium to prepare the tactics they will display on Saturday at the Nuevo Mirandilla stadium, where they will take on rivals Cádiz CF. After a 3-match winless streak, UD Almería's recent 1-0 triumph has been a much-needed boost and now they are targeting an away win to continue their climb up the standings. The last time they won away was nearly 2 months ago, against FC Andorra on 6 December, though the Christmas break has provided a bit of a break in the timeline.

To recap, the Indálicos suffered losses in Málaga in the final match of 2025, drew at the Mirandilla stadium against CD Mirandés and were defeated by SD Éibar. The match against AD Ceuta FC is being seen as a turning point and in Cádiz, the aim is to build on that momentum for a sustained run of form, especially with the tight competition for the top spots in the league. However, the Rojiblancos will face strong opponents in Cádiz, who are also eager to prove themselves and will make the match challenging.

UD Almería, who have been training in the strong winds, will have one last session on Friday before heading to Cádiz city for the derby.
