UD Almería focus on improving defensive skills

The UD Almería players have carried out a couple of hard training sessions going ahead at full throttle on this project with newly appointed head coach Gaizka Garitano leading the group since his recent arrival. These days without league action due to the international break are helping the team to get to know their new boss and have completed two training sessions with intensity tis Wednesday. They made an effort to improve their defensive skills with high pressing and passing accuracy combined with finishing drills. In addition to these specific exercises, the intensity is considerable in all practices. 

Injured Melero, Robertone, Edgar, Pubill, Mendes and Luis Suárez were not present, plus those who are still away on international duty with their national teams with the likes of KonéLopy and César Montes

In both morning and evening sessions, several UD Almería 'B' youngsters participated with the senior bubble, such as PacoMarcos Peña, Marsu, Varó, Antonio Jesús Cantón and Peñalver. All of them replaced those internationals and injured footballers. 

The Rojiblancos will be back in the building at 10:30 this Thursday, while on Friday, they will have a double training session again. Then, on Saturday, they will be out through their paces in the morning. Preparations will take place on the Anexo pitch to the Power Horse Stadium.
