Back to Ceuta on 26 November
The Sole Judge of Competition rules that the suspended match against AD Ceuta FC will resume at 7pm at the Alfonso Murube Stadium
The Sole Judge of Professional Competitions has informed UD Almería that the suspended fixture against AD Ceuta FC will resume next Wednesday, 26 November at 7pm with the second half of the game that was yet to be played.
The Rojiblancos will return to the Alfonso Murube Stadium to fulfill Matchday 13. The sports disciplinary body supports the decision, among other reasons, based on the usual criterion of 'choosing the earliest possible date' to set the day for the resumption of the match.
UD Almería had expressed their willingness to play on 26 November at 4pm while AD Ceuta FC requested to play on 10 December. Given the lack of agreement between the parties, the sole judge applied the criterion that has always prevailed: 'The shortest possible time between the original date and the established date so that, among other reasons, other teams in the competition cannot accurately determine their true position in the standings.' The ruling states that the opposite would 'create greater sporting uncertainty.'
The second half will resume and the home team will kick off. Line-ups are unrestricted since neither side made any changes throughout the first half, which was completed. Finally, please note that there is a 48-hour period for clubs to submit appeals to the National Appeals Committee. We remind you that the match was suspended due to force majeure following the tragic death of a Ceutí supporter during the game.
