Dzôdić returns to squad list as Gui Guedes misses out through injury

The Serbian midfielder is back in contention for Real Zaragoza away game while the Portuguese midfielder undergoes tests after adductor issue

Stefan Dzôdić is the major inclusion in UD Almería’s squad list ahead of Saturday’s game against Real Zaragoza at the Ibercaja Stadium (kick-off 6:30pm CET). The Serbian midfielder has recovered from the knock he picked up in Albacete, which ruled him out of Monday’s game against Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa.

However, just when head coach Rubi looked set to have a full squad available, Gui Guedes has been forced to remain in Almería due to discomfort in his adductor. As the gaffer explained in his pre-Zaragoza presser, the Lusitanian midfielder made an awkward movement during Thursday’s training session and is now awaiting medical tests.

The Rojiblancos completed their final training session on Saturday morning at the UD Almería Stadium before travelling to Zaragoza on a charter flight at 5:30pm.

Head coach Rubi has called up 24 players, meaning one will be left out of the final Matchday squad:

Goalkeepers: Andrés Fernández (1), Fernando (13), Bruno Iribarne (31).

Defenders: Álex Muñoz (3), Nelson Monte (4), Rodrigo Ely (5), Marcos Luna (16), Bonini (18), Centelles (20), Chumi (21), Chirino (22).

Midfielders: Arnau (2), André Horta (6), Jon Morcillo (7), Nico Melamed (10), Sergio Arribas (11), Léo Baptistão (12), Baba (14), Lopy (17), Embarba (23), Dzôdić (29).

Forwards: Thalys (9), Soko (19), Miguel de la Fuente (24).
