Dzodic returns to UD Almería duty after international break
The Serbian midfielder is the first to rejoin the squad as focus shifts to key clash against Real Valladolid CF this Saturday
UD Almería have resumed training with Stefan Dzodic becoming the first of the Club’s internationals to report back following the recent break. The Serbian U21 international returned to the group on Wednesday, taking part in a training session led by head coach Rubi at the Anexo ground after the team’s scheduled rest day on Tuesday.
The versatile midfielder, who is also capable of slotting into central defence, will be a welcome addition as the Rojiblancos gear up for Saturday’s key fixture against Real Valladolid CF (kick-off 9pm Spanish time).
Further reinforcements are expected soon, with Perovic and Soko due to arrive in the coming hours following international duty with Montenegro U21 and Cameroon’s senior national team, respectively. Soko, in particular, will be closely monitored after picking up an ankle injury while away.
Meanwhile, Nelson Monte and Chumi continue to recover from their respective injuries, both of which also involve ankle concerns and remain unavailable for selection.
UD Almería now shift their focus to the weekend showdown in Pucela, where they will take on strong promotion contenders. The Vallisoletanos remain unbeaten in their opening 4 matches, with 2 triumphs, 2 draws and just a single goal conceded so far this campaign.
