Doctors Ripoll and de Prado operate on Almeria Women keeper Ani

She had surgery at the prestigious clinic following a tear of the cruciate ligament and the medial and lateral menisci injury

UD Almería Women goalkeeper Ani has undergone a successful operation following a tear of the cruciate ligament and the medial and lateral menisci at the medical clinic of the prestigious Doctors Ripoll and de Prado. The Rojiblanca begins her recovery process from this long-term injury.

Ani sustained the injury after falling over during the home Primera Nacional game against Cacereño Women. She picked up the injury when she tried to block  a direct free-kick and as a result, she was subbed.

After the initial assessment carried out by the Club’s medical services, it was confirmed that the injury should be treated in the operating room, and thus Doctors Ripoll and de Prado performed the surgery last Wednesday, 17th November. The goalie will be discharged from hospital this Thursday, however she will have to start a long-term recovery process of between six and nine months.
