18 Consecutive seasons among Spain’s elite youth teams
UD Almería U19s 'A' finished the 2025/26 campaign with 5 straight victories to secure 7th place in the División de Honor standings after narrowly missing out on Spanish Cup U19 qualification during the first half of the season
The UD Almería’s Under-19s side have brought the 2025/26 official season to a close, marking the Club’s 18th consecutive campaign in Spain’s top youth division, the División de Honor, a truly remarkable achievement.
The Rojiblancos made their debut in the competition during the 2008/09 season under head coach Ibán Andrés, who is currently the head of UD Almería’s acyademy structure.
Over the years, UD Almería U19s have consistently competed alongside the youth set-ups of clubs such as Sevilla FC, Real Betis and Málaga, all recognised for their strong national pedigree. The Club has also enjoyed several appearances in the Copa del Rey, most notably reaching the final in the 2022/23 season, when they narrowly lost 2-1 to Real Madrid CF in León.
This season, the youthful Rojiblancos fell just short of qualifying for the prestigious Cup competition. After 34 league matches, Rafita’s side finished 7th in the table, ending the campaign in superb form with 5 consecutive victories against San Félix (3-0), Tomares (0-4), Maracena (0-3), Sporting Atlético (5-3), and Arenas de Armilla (1-3).
