First Team
Back in automatic promotion spots
UD Almería remain second in the LaLiga Hypermotion table once Matchday 25 is over. The Rojiblancos, with a better goal difference, are level on points with third-placed Elche CF
Just like most seasons in the second tier, there is an incredible scrap developing between huge teams for the two automatic promotion spots to the top flight.
UD Almería have regained second place in the LaLiga Hypermotion table, and therefore they are in automatic promotion spots again once Matchday 25 is over and following Levante UD defeat at home against Racing de Ferrol.
The Rojiblancos, with their draw with Real Oviedo last Saturday and the results that were being recorded, managed to climb to second place in the table, although they had to wait for the 'Ciudad de Valencia' score to see if it was definitive since if Levante UD had won, they would have leapfrogged Rubi's side, which has not happened. After losing in Albacete, UD Almería were placed in third position, level on points with Elche CF, who were runners-up due to their better goal difference.
Now after Matchday 25, the Indálicos regained that second place, with the same points as CD Mirandés although the goal difference is favourable to the Southerns.
Current table-toppers Racing de Santander (48 points), UD Almería (44), CD Mirandés (44), SD Huesca (43), Elche CF (43), Real Oviedo (43), Levante UD (42) are within a few points of one another at the top and as always there are so many twists and turns in Spain's second-tier with at least half the league still in the promotion hunt.
The pace at the top of the standings is breakneck and compared to last season, at this same stage of the competition, the score is higher in the VIP zone.
