Daniel Carriço waiting for medical tests to determine extent of unfortunate injury

UD Almeria central defender Daniel Carriço was handed a spot in the starting XI again in Gijón but unluckily he had to come off the pitch being replaced by team-mate Chumi after 13 minutes.
The Portuguese footballer made an effort to clear and prevent an attacking play from the rivals. The weather conditions also affected the state of the pitch due to the heavy rain. Carriço fell over. He was lying on the grass making a gesture of pain and asking to be subbed as he felt a prick in the back of his thigh.
The 33-year-old centre-back will now undergo medical tests to determine the extent of his unfortunate injury.
