Dani Junior, Ricardo Carvalho and Cerpa, first signings for UD Almeria’s second-team

Almería B begin to strengthen the squad for the 2020/21 season

UD Almería B have been reinforced with the addition of three new players, who will bring experience to the side led by Fernando Santos, ‘Nandinho’. Dani Junior, who plays as a goalkeeper; Ricardo Carvalho, centre-back, and midfielder Cerpa are the new faces of the Red-and-White Academy team.

Dani Junior Ltaif, born in Ukraine on 1st May, 2000, arrives from third-tier team CD Vitoria (Basque Country), a club who signed a collaboration agreement with their farm team SD Eibar. The keeper is 1.96 meters tall and a big aerial threat. As for his national team career, the international defended the goal from Ukraine U16 to U19. 

Manuel Jesús Cerpa González, 23-year-old footballer from Huelva (Andalusia), has wide experience competing in Tercera Division -fourth tier of Spanish football- although last season he was on the Algeciras CF squad in Segunda Division B -third tier in Spain-. He is a centre-back who started his football career at Recreativo de Huelva U-19, before defending the Atlético Onubense, San Roque de Lepe and the aforementioned Algeciras CF’s colours. 

Last but not least, Ricardo Carvalho will bring great experience to Almería B. He played numerous matches in the Segunda Division B, even though he is 24 years old. The Portuguese defender arrived in Spain in the 2018/19 season to play for Salamanca FC, who were competing in group I of the 'Bronze Division' (Division de Bronce). From there, he moved to his last side Villarrubia CF in group IV of the same category. He took his first steps as a footballer at the Portuguese youth ranks Benfica U19 and Vitória Guimarães SC U17.

The first three UD Almería B signings for the new season carried out their first training session as Rojiblanco players at the Vega de Acá training ground. All of them arrive on a free transfer from their respective clubs of origin.
