Corpas signs contract extension with UD Almería until June 2022

He is the sixth footballer to extend his stay in the Andalusian Rojiblanco club

José Corpas and UD Almería have reached an agreement to renew the player’s contract on a two-year deal that will run through until 2022, so the right winger will continue wearing the UD Almeria jersey until June 2022. The Jaén-born player is the sixth footballer who has extended his stay with the club in recent months, after Sergio Aguza, Iván Martos, Fernando, Lazo and César de la Hoz. In this way, UD Almería guarantees the squad’s main structure as there are players, apart from the aforementioned, with current contracts signed for several seasons.

The 28-year-old player, joined the Almería team in the 2018/19 campaign, coming from Marbella FC. Back then, he committed to the club for two years and his contract was meant to expire at the end of the current campaign, yet it has been renewed, as we mentioned before.

José Corpas was definitely a standout player last season. In fact, he made a total of 40 appearances and scored three stunning goals, in addition to providing his team-mates with ingenious assists. Corpas has been a starter in twenty-nine games this current season. He has also found the net three times and has got six goal assists. He is a great player through and through held on to maintain the feel-good factor…His brilliant performance, professionalism and commitment to the club have led UD Almería to ensure his continuity as a Rojiblanco player.
