Coric and Ibiza show off their professional skills during training sessions

The two players are finally fully recovered from their respective injuries and they are back on their feet

Coric and Juan Ibiza, two of the UD Almería players who came back from injuries, are already joining the small-group training after the activity was suspended as a consequence of the coronavirus outbreak. Two weeks of individual and small-group training were enough for José María Gutiérrez to count on them towards the League resumption.

The Croatian centre-back suffered an appalling injury back in September, which forced him to undergo surgery and since then he has been on the treatment table. He stated ‘my knee seems to be okay.’ The Zagreb-born player was around three months off work, and is now showing his excellent qualities on the pitch.

For the time being, the first-team Almeria squad are in the limelight. They took part in a double training session at the Anexo training ground and in the Juegos Meditarraneos Stadium. The team worked on the tactical aspects and their strength. A demanding physical resistance training session took place on another hot day. Three small groups will be exercising from 9:15 a.m. on Saturday.
