UD Almería squad for clash against Racing Santander
Baptistão suspended, Gui Guedes rested as head coach Rubi names travelling squad
Forward Baptistão and midfielder Gui Guedes are the only absentees for Rubi as UD Almería prepare to face Real Racing Club this Sunday at 21:00 at El Sardinero on Matchday 35.
The Brazilian striker misses out through suspension after accumulating yellow cards, while the Portuguese midfielder remains in UD Almería as a precaution following a recent muscle injury. Although he was close to being included, the coaching staff opted not to take unnecessary risks given the squad’s overall availability, something the gaffer confirmed in his pre-match press conference.
The team held a final closed-door training session on Saturday afternoon at the UD Almería Stadium before travelling to Santander early Sunday morning on a charter flight for what promises to be a demanding and crucial fixture.
