UD Almería Academy strengthens coaching staff for new season

Key changes across youth teams as the Club focus on long-term development

UD Almería's Academy enters a new phase in its development, with several changes made to the coaching staff across various age groups, ensuring a strong foundation for future success.

UD Almería 'B' will remain under the leadership of head coach Alberto Lasarte, who embarks on his 7th season at the helm. Ramiro García and Carlos García will continue to provide vital support as assistant coaches.

In the U19 ranks, Rafilla Morales stays on as head coach of the 'A' team, following a solid campaign that saw them finish 8th and stay in the hunt for the Spanish Cup U19 until the final stretch.

New faces and promotions across the UDA Academy

The U19 'B' team will be led by Francisco Miguel Pérez, who makes the jump to this higher division. Meanwhile, the U16 squads will see fresh leadership, with Javier Mollejo taking charge of the 'A' team and Francisco Cortés stepping in as the 'B' team gaffer.

Julián Álvarez, who previously coached the U12 'A' team, will now lead the U14 'A' squad, while Santos Peralta remains with the U14 'B' team. Meanwhile, José Lázaro takes over U12 'A' after guiding the 'B' team last season and Miguel Ángel Pomares steps into the role with U12 'B'.

In the younger age groups, Antonio Francisco Martín will coach the U10 'A' team, and Germán Lorenzo will take the reins of U10 'B'. The U10s will be led by Diego Antonio Hernández (A) and Víctor González Pascual (B) as they begin their footballing journey.

Support Staff continues strong contributions

Alberto Lasarte's staff remains solid with Angel Férez continuing his work as the goalkeeping coach, Guille Jerez offering analytical insights and Oscar Vargas and Jesús Padilla playing essential roles in team management and logistics.

Two new additions to the medical and conditioning staff are José Ángel Rubia, who will serve as conditioning trainer, and Fran Simón, returning as the team’s physiotherapist. Both bring valuable experience to aid in the physical development, injury prevention, and recovery of the players.

These key staff changes reflect UD Almería's commitment to strengthening its youth academy and providing the best possible training environment for its future stars.
