The new UD Almería squad is here!

UD Almería begin another exciting journey in LaLiga EA Sports this Friday hosting Rayo Vallecano at 7:30 local time at the Power Horse Stadium, a pitch where a fort was built last season and the Rojiblancos are very eager to protect one more campaign. 

 

The league curtain raiser is full of incentives due to the high expectations arose about the new UD Almería squad, due to the rivals' strengths as they were one of the standout teams last season and last but not least due to a new challenging journey in the top flight of Spanish football.

 

There are new faces in the UD Almería squad: new head coach Vicente Moreno as well as five summer signings: full-back Marc Pubill (UD Levante), centre-back and defensive midfielder Édgar González (Real Betis), as well as midfielders Dion Lopy (Stade de Reims), Baba (RCD Mallorca) and Arribas (Real Madrid CF). Rayo Vallecano, with Almeria-born head coach Francisco in the driving seat, had a great 2022/23 campaign and they have top-level players in their ranks who remain in the squad this term, so the opener looks not only interesting but also tough since as Vicente Moreno stated in the pre-match presser: 'Rayo are rivals who make you very uncomfortable on the pitch.' He also mentioned that the UD Almería's capability and the unswerving support of the fans will always be key.
