Almost full squad available for 'Final' in Burgos
No suspensions after CD Mirandés game this Monday. Chirino returns, Baba remains the only doubt
There is no let-up in the second tier and UD Almería are already preparing for another 'final' in their push for automatic promotion to the top flight. After overcoming CD Mirandés, the mighty Rojiblancos now face a demanding away trip to Burgos to take on direct rivals. Although Burgos CF have slipped out of the play-off spots, they remain just one point away from them.
Head coach Rubi is set to have almost his entire squad available for the trip. The main boost comes with the return of Chirino, who has completed his 2-match suspension following his red card against Málaga CF. The only uncertainty surrounds Baba, who is still recovering from a muscle issue. Rubi indicated ahead of the CD Mirandés fixture that he could be fit in time for the fixture at El Plantío stadium, though his availability is not yet guaranteed.
UD Almería also avoided any suspension setbacks from their previous match. 5 players: Marcos Luna, Bonini, Lopy, Horta and Gui Guedes were all one booking away from a ban, but none received a yellow card. The only caution of the game was issued to Léo Baptistão, with no further consequences.
With the squad nearly at full strength, UD Almería head into Burgos knowing another victory could prove decisive in their race for promotion.
