Chirino sent off after full-time and set to miss Granada CF derby
Lopy returns from suspension as UD Almería prepare for another key clash next Sunday
UD Almería will be without Alejandro Chirino for next weekend’s derby after the right-back was shown a red card following the final whistle. The dismissal came amid a post-match altercation involving several players from both sides, with the referee issuing one red card to each team.
As a result, Chirino will miss Sunday’s trip to face Granada CF at the Nuevo Los Cármenes stadium.
In contrast, Dion Lopy will be available again after serving his suspension following his red card in Santander. However, the midfielder still carries 9 yellow cards, as his previous dismissal reset the immediate suspension but not his accumulation. Bonini, Gui Guedes and Marcos Luna are also one booking away from suspension.
UD Almería now turn their attention to another crucial fixture, with preparations for the Granada CF clash set to begin on Wednesday. The squad will enjoy 2 days of rest on Monday and Tuesday following their vital victory over Málaga CF.
