
César de la Hoz will continue wearing the Almeria shirt until 2022
The defensive midfielder and the club reach an agreement to extend his contract for two more seasons
César de la Hoz is to continue wearing the Almeria shirt for two more seasons until June 2022, after reaching an agreement with the club to extend his contract. In this way, UD Almería keeps on developing its initiative to give an opportunity to talented footballers thinking about the near future.
The Cantabrian midfielder, who joined the club in the previous 2018/19 campaign was meant to end his contract at the end of this season. Thanks to his outstanding performance, professionalism and commitment, UD Almería decided to renew his contract with the second-tier team.
The 28-year-old player was a product of the Racing de Santander’s youth team. Soon after, he signed a contract with Betis. Then, he was loaned to Albacete Balompié before moving to UD Almeria in 2018 on a two-year deal.
Last season, he debuted as a Rojiblanco footballer and made 40 appearances, being the footballer who played the most minutes in the Second Division championship. In the current campaign, De la Hoz has played 23 games, being a starter in 21 of them.
