César de la Hoz: 'We've shown that we've got enough weapons to get a positive result against Betis'

The UD Almería co-captain faces his former Sevillian club and spoke about 'nursing their hurt pride' after the tough defeat at the San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao

UD Almería co-captain César De la Hoz looked ahead to Sunday's game against Real Betis at a pre-match presser. The midfielder was 'B' team Betis Deportivo Balompié captain back in the day and has given his take on the next Matchday: 'That stage meant a lot to me as a player and I'm very grateful and excited about this Sunday's away game. I want to enjoy myself at the Benito Villamarín ground and I'd love to get something positive out of it, even a victory. They know what they play at and they always have very clear ideas. They're a difficult team to beat because they're very supportive players; but we've shown that we've got enough weapons to compete and get a positive result against Betis,' he commented in the press room of the Power Horse Stadium.

The Cantabria-born midfielder has referred to his side's style of play and type of match he expects: 'We're not going to change our ways. We tend to be well organised and we also like to have possession of ball. We'll suffer when we have to. If we manage to keep the ball, that will be good for us,' has indicated.

The 30-year old Rojiblanco has also pointed out the reasons for their bouncebackability against Rayo Vallecano last Saturday: 'Daily work was the same as the week before the game in Bilbao, but we had to nurse our hurt pride after that disappointing result and that's why we were hungry for goals against Rayo Vallecano. We wanted to clear the doubts and show everyone that we're also a competitive team. We're a good squad who can stay up this season.'
