Lucas Robertone returns to CA Vélez Sarsfield on loan from UD Almería
The Argentinian midfielder is back at his boyhood club with an option-to-buy clause after 6 seasons in Spain
UD Almería have confirmed the loan of midfielder Lucas Robertone to Argentinian side Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield for one year, running until January 2027, coinciding with the conclusion of the Argentine football season. The deal, finalised late Friday night, also includes an option for Vélez to make the move permanent.
Robertone originally left CA Vélez Sarsfield in the 2020/21 season to join UD Almería, where he quickly established himself as a key figure. During his 6 seasons in Spain, the 26-year-old made 155 appearances for the Club, including 70 in LaLiga, and frequently donned the captain’s armband.
A product of Vélez’s youth academy, Robertone played 73 first-team matches before his European move to Spain.
With the talented midfielder now returning to Buenos Aires, UD Almería publicly thank him for his professionalism and contributions over the years, wishing him every success in his next chapter.
