CD Lugo vs UD Almeria postponed
A Covid-19 outbreak in the Galician club forces all its members to isolate in line with LaLiga and government guidance and protocols
CD Lugo vs UD Almería (Matchday 21) has been postponed. The last fixture of 2021 and the last to complete the first half of the championship will be rescheduled as the RFEF has communicated at the proposal of LaLiga.
Monday’s fixture has been called off this Sunday due to 23 positive Covid-19 cases in CD Lugo, mostly first-team players (15). All individuals who have tested positive are now isolating waiting for new medical tests.
Meanwhile, the UD Almería squad were gearing up for the last match of the year as they planned to travel to Lugo, via La Coruña, this early Monday morning.
Now it will be necessary to reschedule the game date and kick-off to be played at the Anxo Carro Stadium in the Galician-based city of Lugo.
