Callejón will play on loan at Betis Balompié B
Both Andalusian clubs and the footballer, who signed a contract with UD Almería B until 2023, have reached an agreement
Almeria B footballer Francisco Callejon, will join the Betis Balompié B team on loan next season, after the agreement reached by both Andalusian clubs and the player, and which was signed this Thursday. In addition, Real Betis Balonpie will have an option to buy at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
The Almeria-born player signed a contract with Almería until June 2023, but the idea that the Rojiblanco club has is that Callejón has the opportunity to get competitive match experience in a higher league such as Segunda Division B -third-tier in Spanish football- in which he already played with the UD Almería B team.
The versatile footballer will be closely followed given that he is a home player, where he has built practically all his football career. Despite he has played games with the first-team; as a matter of fact, he was a starter in the two games played against Girona, corresponding to the play-off for promotion to the top-flight, the gap between Tercera Division -fourth-tier in Spanish football- and SmartBank League -second-tier- is huge.
The 22-year-old central midfielder had to leave the Almeria’s pre-season training camp in Marbella in order to sign his new contract with Real Betis Balompié.
