Bruno Iribarne, a Spain U19 titan between the posts
The Almeria-born goalkeeper put in a great performance in the second victory of the youth national team in the Euro U19
UD Almería goalkeeper U19 'A' Bruno Iribarne is showing why he has been chosen by the Under-19s national coach José Lana. The Rojiblanco did not disappoint since as soon as the game kicked off, Bruno had to block an effort sending a ball to a corner. A save that was fundamental given the fact that if the ball had entered, it would have changed the future of a match that Spain U19 won 0-5.
Greece U19 needed a victory to progress onto the next round and went all out for a goal, but they were denied by the young goalkeeper from Almería. Spain U19 were superior throughout the full 90 minutes and thrashed the Greek team who paid the consequences of neglecting the defensive aspect.
They conceded the opener in the 11th minute and from there, Spain U19 found more spaces and were able to secure a victory since the first half ended 0-4.
In the second period, the Spaniards netted the fifth goal. During the match, Bruno did not have a lot of work to do, however, he was fundamental saving Greece's first shot between the sticks and kept a clean sheet, showing great goalkeeping skills and saving goals that came his way in the few offensive attacks by the Greeks.
José Lana's boys continue to be one of the favourite candidates to win this European U19 Championship.
