Iribarne, Dzôdić, Perović and Soko on international duty

4 key players missing for UD Almería’s Sunday's Andalusian derby against Cádiz CF (KO 4:15pm Spanish Time)

The latest international window has dealt a blow to UD Almería’s preparations for their upcoming derby against Cádiz CF, as 4 key players will be unavailable due to national team commitments.

As was the case during the previous international break, goalkeeper Bruno Iribarne (Spain U21), midfielder Stefan Dzôdić (Serbia U21), winger Perović (Montenegro) and Soko (Cameroon) have all been called up to represent their respective home countries.

These 4 will depart after UD Almería’s match in Ceuta and will miss the home clash with Cádiz CF at the UD Almería Stadium on Sunday, 16 November, with kick-off scheduled for 4:15pm (Spanish time).

Spain U21, led by coach Santi Denia, will play 2 European Championship qualifiers, facing San Marino on Friday, 14 November, in Lugo, and Romania on Tuesday, 18 November, in Sibiu. Spain currently top their qualifying group.

Meanwhile, Cameroon’s Soko will join his national team for a training camp from 10-18 November. The Indomitable Lions will face Congo in the African semis of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on Thursday, 13 November and depending on the result, will play again on 16 November.

Perović, who is part of the Montenegrin senior team, will miss the World Cup qualifiers but has2 fixtures against Gibraltar (14 November) and Croatia (17 November) in international friendlies.

Last but not least, Stefan Dzôdić will be away with the Serbian U21 side for 2 friendly matches, taking on the Czech Republic on 14 November and the United States on 18 November. Serbia are already qualified for the U21 European Championship, which they will host next year.

With these absences, UD Almería will have to adjust their plans for the crucial derby against Cádiz CF.
