Brazilian forward Guilherme Schettine completes loan switch to join UD Almeria

He arrives from Sporting de Braga with an option to buy. Pedro Mendes moves back to his parent club

Guilherme Schettine, a 25-year-old and 1,80 metres tall centre-forward, has penned a new loan deal at Juegos Mediterraneos.  UD Almeria will have an option to buy the Brazilian player who comes from the Portuguese side Sporting de Braga.

Guilherme Schettine left his home country Brazil when he was very young to continue his footballing career within Portuguese football. Later, he joined teams in Saudi Arabia (Al-Batin) and the United Arab Emirates (Dibba Al-Fujairah) and next, he returned to Lusitanian football. He is a centre-forward with great mobility and technique. The native of Gama can also operate as a second striker as he has got an excellent eye for goal.

On another note, Pedro Mendes, UD Almería and Sporting de Lisboa have reached an agreement to bring the young striker’s loan to an end. Pedro Mendes is due to return to his home country Portugal and parent club.
