Behind closed doors preparations continue for the weekend’s meeting with Huesca

Back to basics as José María Gutiérrez pushes tactical skills at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium

Almeria exercised this Wednesday behind closed doors at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium with a training session full of tactical aspects. José María Gutiérrez wants his team to bounce back and return to the essence of the game with his players mobility, ball speed and forcefulness in the thirds. The motivation of the players has been noted in this regard and they have completed a training more typical of a competition game than a simple workout session. The team and the coaching staff are determined to win and will do their best to return to the path of victory this Saturday in Huesca.

We got to see Ivan Balliu on the pitch. The defender got injured as soon as the match began in Soria and unfortunately was out of action last week due to a micro-tear in the biceps femoris; he is still recovering from it. Two Almeria B players joined the first team: Ezequiel and Aitor.

This Thursday the team will be training behind closed doors in the Mediterraneo from 10.30 a.m. in the morning. This will be the second-to-last training session of the week before the next fixture.
