Baptistão does individual ball work and Marciano works out in the gym
The striker from the 'B' team is going to get medical tests done and his recovery process is being closely monitored. Goalkeeper Fernando felt some discomfort in training. UD Almería play against Antequera CF on Monday, 31st July
Léo Baptistão, who underwent an ankle operation in the final stretch of last season, has already begun to do individual ball work, which is good news because since the start of the pre-season campaign, the Brazilian player has been working out in the gym and exercising under the physiotherapist's supervision.
On the other hand, UD Almería 'B' striker Marciano, who had to come off the pitch in gestures of pain due to a knee injury last Sunday against UD Las Palmas, is awaiting medical tests. At the beginning of the third off-season week of preparations, the young player from the UDA academy worked out in the gym that the team has next to the La Quinta Football Center pitch. Medical services closely follow his recovery process.
Moreover, Gonzalo Melero also began to do individual ball work after he underwent an arthroscopy during the holidays due to a meniscus injury in his right knee.
Those UD Almería players who got more minutes in their legs against UD Las Palmas have completed this Monday an active recovery session while the other footballers trained with more intensity. Goalkeeper Fernando Martínez had to come off the pitch with some discomfort in the upper part of his left thigh. The Rojiblancos will continue to be put through their paces at the Benahavís training camp throughout this week.
In addition to the training sessions, UD Almería are playing another friendly match against Málaga CF this Thursday, 27th July (KO 6pm) at the Marbella Football Center. Next, on Monday, 31st July, before returning to Almería city, the team will face another summer test against Primera RFEF side Antequera CF at 9:30 am. After that practice game, the players will have lunch before setting off for Almería.
