Crocked Baba will not be able to compete for the remainder of season
The UD Almería midfielder has suffered a lateral collateral ligament injury to his knee, although he continues to undergo medical tests
UD Almería midfielder Baba will not be able to compete for the remainder of the 2024 season due to a knee injury he picked up in last Tuesday's match against Córdoba CF, a match that was postponed on Matchday 13 due to the warning issued by the AEMET (Spain's Met Office). After the first medical tests that the Ghanaian footballer has undergone, a grade 2 sprain has been detected in the lateral collateral ligament, as confirmed by UD Almería head coach Rubi.
Baba continues to undergo new medical tests to avoid any further complications in his joint, which will be known shortly. In this way, the African player joins the list of crooked players such as Lucas Robertone, who after undergoing surgery for a shoulder dislocation will not be able to play again until 2025.
Two significant injuries in the midfield in a first team made up of 12 footballers; 18 available now along with some UDA 'B' players who regularly train under Rubi's guidelines.
